er bawdy voiceboxin.. arrrgh

Everybody loves the headsnappp of the classics by roger and zapp, and the master of the voicebox (vocoder) Roger Troutman has had quite an influence on all kinda cats but only a few might really have paid due to his style, notably teddy riley. Im finding lately er bawahwwawawadeeyeeyeeeee is making songs with this sound. Tpain mighta started this resurgence but there is a slight difference Mr. P or Tallahassee Pain is good at it. Theres a list of joints ,some Ive heard some I kinda refuse, of artists tryna catch on to Tpain voicebox bandwagon. R Kelly has a joint, of course Lil Wayne got joints(this is where the "best rapper alive" kinda lost me) I heard Mack10 has a song using it. OK thats too far.! Kanye's album 808's & Heartbreak is mostly sung through the voicebox. I cant lie Ive been sceptical of Mr. To The's new one, til' I heard this one .

Heartless - Kanye West

I GUESS we should get used to this trend by cats sangin' but *at least lets do it right muhfuck@hs..

“How We Lost the War We Won: A Journey into Taliban-Controlled Afghanistan”

Investigative journalist Nir Rosen has just returned from Afghanistan, where he embedded with the Taliban and traveled far from capital city of Kabul, “Afghanistan’s version of the Green Zone.” He doesn’t think the US-led NATO occupation is winning in Afghanistan. His latest article for Rolling Stone magazine is “How We Lost the War We Won: A Journey into Taliban-Controlled Afghanistan.”

*Here you can read a transcript from an interview done by Amy Goodman of Democracy Now , where Rosen describes his accounts of U.S. progress in the Afghistan.

Death Of The Muse: A Dilla Tribute

Inspired by the LA Weekly’s revelatory interview with Ms. Maureen Yancey, mother of deceased producer and hip-hop luminary James Yancy aka J Dilla, Anti-/Epitaph recording artists Solillaquists of Sound have decided to put the power of change into the hands of the people.

Solilla’s “Death of the Muse,” featuring J-Live, Chali 2na (formerly of Jurassic 5), and Ma Dukes herself will be made available for digital purchase at InSound.com for a minimum donation of $2. In an effort to alleviate the grim financial situation that has been intensified by her declining health, one hundred percent of the proceeds will go directly to Ms. Yancey. In addition to losing her house and taking on an insurmountable number of hospital bills while looking after Dilla in his time of illness, Ms. Yancey was also left with a difficult and estranged relationship with the current executors of her son's estate in the wake of his passing.

Soooo, She finally talks..

BUT DID WE LEARN ANTHING...

I sorta feel cheated...Nah really, I had my food and drinks like it was the Dodgers playoff game(which I missed half of by the way) I heard Biden's attempt at it, then I heard Palin's attempt and then I thought whats all the hype about! I mean both of these cats couldnt roc the mic. One was super boring and the other said and I quote .."Say it aint so, Joe." Wow! Thats all I really got out of it, well besides the usual tax cut blah, and restoring the middle-class blah blah blah.

*but hey, AT LEAST THE DODGERS WON
