A Day in History...Obama Oh 8'

August 28, 2008 will be a historic day but not unlike 45 years earlier or 8 years before that. This day has seen a few time transcending moments already and is soon to be put up on its own pedestal. August 28, 1955's moment left a whole in many hearts, with the brutal death of Illinois teen Emmit Till. His horrific murder was one of the many sparks to set off a movement. A civil rights movement that came to be infront of the world, with a voice in all its beauty by a man and his dream for righteousness to do its damn thing.. as Martin King spoke the words he dreamed of on August 28, 1963 believers hoped and non-believers feared.! Through both we've made our way to August 28, 2008... and histories here! While Barack Obama excepts his parties nomination for President it will be historical, regardless of his intentions or whether he follows through with those he will have showed us all something new. Something long overdo but somehow also right on time... Thanks Emmitt Thanks Martin Luther

"...When a man asks himself what is meant by action he proves that he isn't a man of action. Action is a lack of balance. In order to act you must be somewhat insane. A reasonably sensible man is satisfied with thinking. " by. James Baldwin

HIP-HOP LIVE Tour!

HIP HOP LIVE is a annual Hip Hop tour (in it’s second year) that combines some dope MCs with live instruments. I have a huge amount of respect for the DJ, I mean without them we wouldn’t be here. But, there’s something really compelling about an MC spitting over a live band that makes for a nice change of pace. That’s if it’s done right. This year the tour will have Talib Kweli, David Banner, Little Brother and B.O.B. All the dates will have Kweli and Banner and the ones with Little Brother and B.O.B are indicated. Check out the tour dates after the jump to see if they’ll be stopping by a concert venue near you.

Wale Debut Album Sneak Peak: Wale x Travis Barker in the studio

Wale stopped into Travis Barker’s studio in LA two weeks ago before the X-Games Pre-Party to lay down a verse for Travis’ solo album. Travis then laid down some live drums on a Wale album cut, “G Told Me” produced by Sean C & LV (”Roc Boys”). Here’s a sneak peak thanks to DJ Alizay

1st Attempt

For the first experience at this blog-world, I figured that I'd rant a little about the real-world. To everyone who has ever contributed to the oppression of any peoples.. eat a dick!! No seriously, after listening to my late great grandmothers stories of her good ol' Texas upbringing and reading book after book about man's conquering ways, I've sorta had it up to here.

peace to all the oppressed peoples of the world!!
